The B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) offered by GP Institute of Allied Health Sciences (GPIAHS)  is a 4-year undergraduate program (3 academic years + 1 year internship) that prepares students to become skilled laboratory technologists. This program is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and is ideal for those passionate about working in diagnostics, pathology, and clinical investigation.

Students receive rigorous training in hematology, clinical biochemistry, microbiology, histopathology, and modern diagnostic techniques. The curriculum integrates classroom teaching with practical sessions in our advanced laboratory facilities and hands-on clinical experience in a 900-bed super specialty hospital (SSIMRC).

Program Objectives

The B.Sc. MLT program is designed to:

  • Provide in-depth knowledge of laboratory techniques used in disease diagnosis and monitoring
  • Equip students with hands-on skills in sample collection, processing, and analysis
  • Develop technical expertise in clinical pathology, microbiology, and immunology
